This week we have our All Chorus Concert on Tuesday at 6:00PM at Uxbridge High School.

Also our 6th graders will be going on the annual Nature's Classroom trip Wednesday-Friday.

Please remember to review the MCAS schedule below and ensure your child is in attendance on their scheduled testing days.

Here is how we as parents and guardians can help "Raise Readers"

-Read to your children daily

-Model reading as a fun activity

-Reduce screen time

-Start a family, school or community book club

-Visit bookstores and libraries regularly

-Read the book before you see the movie

-Encourage your child to read aloud to a pet or stuffed animal

-Give books as gifts

-Donate books to families and communities in need

Parents/guardians should not enter the loop before 7:30 AM to drop off their child. The loop is designated for buses only and for students who require assistance.

We ask for your cooperation in following the drop-off procedures we have in place. Even if you do not see any buses in the loop when you arrive, that does not mean a bus will not be pulling in. All buses arrive and drop off students between 7:15–7:30 AM.

Newspaper Club: The Whitin Intermediate School newspaper club will be meeting Tuesdays after school until 2:50 pm. Attendance is not required at every meeting. Students will submit material through Google Classroom. The first meeting will be on December 2nd.

The newspaper will be published online periodically (pun intended). Students will contribute articles, interviews, recipes, comics, photographs, and other items of their choosing. Since the newspaper is digital, videos and podcasts will be possible too.
